A Petition To The Universe

In Eat, Pray, Love, Elizabeth Gilbert, with the help of her friend, petitioned the universe for her divorce settlement to come through. While driving cross country with her friend who gave her the idea and told her that as a part of this universe, she too has the ability to ask for something and change the course and outcome of the universe, she simply wrote a petition (in her mind) and asked everyone she knew, living and dead, if they would sign it. After receiving tons of signatures from all of those people who 'signed' it, she got a call a little while later that the divorce settlement did in fact go through.

This is my petition. I am taking an active role in the universe and petitioning the universe to please give me my E2 Visa number tonight so that I can finish the process and get to Gwangju, South Korea as soon as possible. This is exactly what I want, and I know that it will make me genuinely happy. I haven't been genuinely happy in a long time. Sure, I've been happy about this or that, but this is one of the three things on my life to-do list that I want to do for me and me only. With me being happy and being able to move to South Korea and teach, I will be making a difference in the lives of the children I will teach, which is another thing on my life to-do list. I will be making friends and helping other people be happy, too. I will also be writing about all of my experiences, which will give others a viewpoint into the life of a conversational English teacher living abroad, and may make their decision to do, or not to do the same. And in being genuinely happy, I'll be able to fully and 100% be me. I am now and have always been a good person, and I am asking the universe this one time to do this for me and please give me my E2 Visa number tonight. Please.
