While I'm Waiting...

Well, the job I had in Gwangju fell through because the new school changed their curriculum before opening day and decided they wanted a native Korean teacher instead of a foreign teacher. That's ok, though. There are lots of schools in South Korea needing foreign English teachers. I just interviewed with another earlier tonight and should hear by sometime tomorrow if they want to offer me the position or not. I'm hoping for a strong offer. :) I'll keep you posted.

But, while I'm waiting, I've always wanted to do one of those random-question things. So, here goes:

1. What time did you get up this morning?
Morning? Ha! 2:24PM. Seriously. When's the next time I'm going to be able to do that?

2. Diamonds or pearls?
Diamonds. Hands down. And if you can't tell if it's a good one of not, don't be afraid to ask me. Cause you better believe I want a good one.

3. What was the last film you saw at the movies?
Transformers (one). I don't do movies too well.

4. What is your favorite TV show?
Will and Grace and NCIS.

5. What do you usually have for breakfast?
Coffee, and I usually throw in a whole wheat bagel with low-fat cream cheese. But don't confuse the poor people at Dunkin Donuts - when ordering there, you must say 'reduced fat' or they just don't get it. Sigh.

6. What's your middle name?
Anne. With an E.

7. Has anyone ten years older than you ever hit on you?
I don't think so.

8. What is your favorite CD at the moment?
CD? Do they still have those? My favorite songs right now are by Pink.

9. What kind of car do you drive?
Nissan Altima. LOVE it.

10. Favorite sandwich?
Something with turkey, a real piece of lettuce, wheat bread, tomatoes that aren't mushy, some onions that haven't lost their spark, and some kind of fat-free sauce.

11. What characteristics do you despise?
Dishonesty.

12. Favorite item of clothing?
Long, cleavage-showing maxi dress. I have several.

13. If you could go anywhere in the world for a vacation, where would you go?
Korea! Also Australia, Malaysia, Spain

14. What color is your bathroom?
I rent, so white. But I'm decorating with sage green and brushed silver. Very pretty.

15. Favorite brand of clothing?
Whatever makes me look good.

16. Where would you retire?
Retirement? Haven't gotten that far yet.

17. Most memorable birthday?
They all sort of run together. There are some I want to forget.

18. Favorite sport to watch?
Gator football

19. Do you care if your socks are dirty?
Yes! I barely wear socks, though. But I am NOT stepping out of the house in anything that's dirty.

20. The last place you went out to dinner?
Dinner? Outback. Lunch? Sonny's BBQ. Drinks? Applebees. Where do I want to go? Season's 52. Miss you buddy.

21. Where is the weirdest place you have slept?
I've never slept anywhere weird.

Don't lie.

24. Are you a morning person or a night person?
Night.

25. What is your shoe size?
Usually an 8.5, but sometimes an 8. And depending on the hotness of the shoe and the limited number of sizes it comes in, I can be a 9, too.

26. Pets?
Two very loving kitties.

27. What did you want to be when you were little?
A film director and a writer.

A writer and a teacher. :D

29. What is your favorite candy?
Emergency Chocolate. And Milanos.

30. What is your favorite flower?
forget-me-knots and hydrangeas

31. What's the next day on the calendar you are looking forward to?
The one when I get my Visa number, the one when I have my meeting with the Korean consulate, and the day I fly out!!!

I don't do church.

The sound of my kitty purring.

Subway turkey sandwich with their horrible new raspberry/cheesecake cookies.

Season's 52, although it's been about 6 or 7 years. Also, this little pizza place in the same building as a gas station on Hwy 40 right before you get on 95 South. OMG they have terrific garlic knots and incredible pizza.

45. Favorite day of the year?
Any day I am genuinely happy.

46. What was your favorite toy as a child?
I don't remember a favorite. But I do remember one year for my birthday I got this little mechanical gator that moved on its own. I set up a path of books for it to travel on (it didn't fare well on carpet).

Summer

48. Hugs or kisses?
Hugs mainly, but I do love a really good kiss. Haven't had one of those in a long while.

In my bank account.

Yesterday (considering its after 12am tonight)

My other cat.

Watched 'Flags of Our Fathers' until I was so tired I had to go to sleep.

Rain, and the smell cats have on top of their head. It's the unforgettable kitty smell. I love it.

Not being able to go to Korea.

Almost anything

Considering I quit my job a week ago so I can work in Korea...
