I got it. I checked the mail and I saw this large manilla envelope sitting in there and I knew what it was. I thought, "No, it's another W-2." (I'm getting 5 this year, plus 3 a 1099 and 2 bank things.) So I took it out and read who it was from:

Department of Justice
Federal Bureau of Investigation

THANK. YOU. GOD.

I actually prayed for this and it came. It wasn't supposed to come until early March. And I don't (didn't?) believe in praying because it doesn't work - it's just something people do to make themselves feel better. But it worked. I prayed for it to come as soon as possible, or by the end of this month, whichever he/she/they felt like doing, as long as it got here soon. Sooner than soon. And today, it did.

No arrest record, obviously. No surprise there. But it came. I have it in my hand. This piece of paper is my ticket out of here. The key to the rest of my life. The key to MY life. And here it is. Right here on my desk.
