Happy New Year!!!

It's not quite 2011, but it's almost here. I'm sitting home alone doing a little reflecting, but a lot more forecasting. Is that the right word? I'm watching Larry King's top 25 something, but I've only seen 3, 2 and 1: Michael Jackson's death, Barack Obama's Inauguration, and 9/11. I think 9/11 truely is one of those events that I'll never forget what I was doing 'when'... I was asleep in my dorm room when I heard knocks on my door and yelling that something was happening. I got up and went into the floor's common room to see what everyone was yelling about, just in time to see the 2nd plane hit. I was at work and had to sneak-watch the inauguration live on the computer because my boss was a staunch Republican, and when Michael Jackson died, I was a bit mad that the publicity over-shadowed Farrah Faucet's death.

But I'm sitting alone tonight because of choice. I could be at a party, not getting drunk because I have to drive (and I'm SO not 'sleeping over' - omg), or with my parents, quickly driving me crazy with their bickering and insanity, and I probably could find something else to add to the list, but I'm just getting tired. And it's only 10:10pm. Oh well.

At least I won't be pulled over for drunk driving, or killed because of it - well, unless some drunk driver slams into my apartment building, and causes my 2nd floor apartment to cave in and fall down. But that's highly unlikely.

But I did order pizza (and tipped the driver $10 because of having to work on New Year's Eve) and enjoyed that with some Disarrono.

But the biggest thing on my mind? The next 12 weeks and my preparation for moving to, living and working in South Korea. Everything else is sort of fuzzy. And the things on my 'keep in storage' list? I don't need a third hand to list them all: my imac, washer/dryer, 26-bottle wine refrigerator, dyson vacuum, microwave (it's new), wii, about 1/4 of all my books, possibly my tv, and my diplomas. If you want to buy any of my furniture, make me an offer. Everything else is for sale. (Or trade, if you have an enormous suitcase that weighs next to nothing.)

That's it for now. Happy New Year!!!
