I was told they have these in the USA, but this it wasn't until I started hearing about Korea that I heard about Dr. Fish.
For those of you who may not know, Dr. Fish is a place where you can go to soak your feet and get a pedicure by, well, fish.
You know how when you get a 'normal' pedicure, they scrub your feet with the pumice stone to remove the dead skin and make your feet as smooth as a baby's bottom? Well, this is esseitnally that scrubbing, but with fish. There is no pumice stone, nor is there anyone scrubbing your feet. You just sit on the edge of this small pool and stick your feet over the side and into the water. And all of these little fish come up and feast on the dead skin of your feet. It's fantastically fabulous. And tickles like mad the smaller the fish are. But you leave with incredibly soft, beautiful feet.
And in Korea, it cost me 4,000W (about $4.30 USD) for unlimited time in this foot pool. I've heard that in the states, it costs roughly $60 for 10 minutes and time is monitored very closely.
Rock On, Little Fish.
FYI - we spent about 2 hours here. In the USA, it would have cost us $600. I. Love. Korea.
